Just What is Involved in Selling your Jewellery?
A Quick Overview of Selling your Jewellery at Parlour Pawn
Many people believe that selling their gold and jewellery is going to be a long, drawn-out affair. They may also believe that Parlour Pawn is only interested in resellable jewellery. Those beliefs could not be further from the truth. As a matter of fact, we buy all gold, 10 karat and up. Heck, we even buy broken gold!
Selling your gold is simple, easy and can be done in a snap. Just come right in to our jewellery department and our staff will be happy to assist you. We will check the stamps on your jewellery pieces, test and weigh them, and finally we’ll price your items as detailed in our previous article. Our gold prices for 10k, 14k and 18k are always posted in the jewellery department so you will know what we are paying daily. We also welcome your calls to check our gold prices. While you are waiting, you may happen to see an item in our store showcase that you may fancy. It might not even be another piece of jewellery. In this case you may ask for a trade price, for which the jewellery department will add an extra 15% to the cash price. How can you ask for a better deal than that?
Once we inform you of the cash price and if you decide to sell your jewellery pieces, we will ask you for your drivers licence or provincial identification card. This is required by Moncton city by-laws and you must be over 18 to sell or pawn. A customer file is opened for you with this information. We will also ask you for your phone number. Once this information is provided, we will then enter a description of the pieces you are selling with a total amount to be paid. You sign the printed contract and receive a copy for your records. The cash amount quoted will then be counted out to you and you are good to go. It’s as easy as that!
That wasn’t so hard, was it? Now that you know there’s nothing to be afraid of when selling your gold at Parlour Pawn, it never hurts to get a price. Bring your unwanted, old or broken jewellery to Parlour Pawn for some extra cash this holiday season.
