Sleepers the Games you missed: Darksiders

Title: Sleeper Hits: The Games you Missed - Darksiders

Happy New Year folks, We’ve got a new game that you might have missed to start off the new year!

The time for the Great Apocalypse of legend has come in Darksiders as you take on the Role of War, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, Rain, Judgement and Destruction down upon earth. However, not all is as it seems when you discover that you and your fellow horsemen have been implicated for the premature destruction of earth and are swept up in a conspiracy between the forces of heaven and hell. Banished and stripped of your powers, embark on a epic quest of revenge and redemption as you battle angels and demons to restore your awesome abilities and seek out who betrayed you. Battle across the wastelands and dungeons of earth, discovering new weapons and uncover powerful relics.

As you can probably guess from my little wordplay above Darksiders isn’t a game for the kiddies but if you own an Xbox 360 or a PS3 and can handle a little gore there’s no way you should miss this game!

There is no denying that Darksiders rips off quite a few games- Zelda, God of War, Portal, Panzer Dragoon… it’s hard to name a game it doesn’t borrow from. Fortunately, Darksiders takes from these games and improves upon them. It may not be the most original game, but it is a collection of some of the best elements in gaming.
